Will I get a yo-yo effect if I stop the medication?
Medication is just one aspect of the treatment programme. The crux of it is making the changes to your lifestyle that you need to make in order to reach and maintain a healthier weight. Our guidance will teach you to manage new lifestyle patterns. This reduces the chances of falling back into old habits quite a lot. Taking the medication for several years is possible.

Is it possible for me to vomit the gastric balloon?

No, we always review progress after four months. If everything goes well and you're happy, then we'll keep going to the six-month point. If things aren't going as expected at the time of the four-month review, then you'll have the option of switching to one of the other treatment options (provided this is suitable for you from a medical perspective).

Would you advise minimising kilocalorie intake? Or does this differ from person to person?
Obviously it depends on several factors, such as weight, muscle mass and age. There's no gold standard for this. It's important to look at what works for you and how you can get the best results.
